Often called the ‘corner stone’ of the NZ stone industry, basalt has been relied upon for decades as a solid, dependable stone.  The Classic Stone basalt profile replicates many of the natural basalt properties.  This profile has the traditional straight edge shaped blocks in various sizes, so the client can choose what pattern they like.  It also has the chiselled textures normally associated with basalt and the deep grey colour tones.The stone in this profile comes in a variety of shapes (typically of a square & rectangular nature) and sizes with the average thickness being 35 to 45mm.
